How to filter and search transactions in the Finplan statement?
Learn how to search transactions in the Finplan statement and filter by period, account, category and movement type to find what you need.
Need to find a specific transaction or see only the spending of one category? The Finplan statement has search and filters for that.
In this article, we will explain how to search transactions, how to use the filters and how to switch between settled and pending transactions.
How to search for a transaction in the statement?
In the statement, use the "Search transactions..." field and type part of the entry description. The list shows only the transactions that match what you typed.
How to see settled or pending transactions?
Just above the list, switch between the Settled and Pending tabs. Pending ones are still waiting for your confirmation, as we explain in how pending transactions work.
How to use the statement filters?
Open the statement filters to choose exactly what appears on the list. The Filters panel has four options:
- Dates: in Custom period, choose the start date and the end date;
- Accounts: show only one account or leave it on All accounts;
- Categories: choose a category or leave it on All categories;
- Movements: choose between All movements, income, expenses or transfers.
After choosing, click Filter to apply. To go back to the full list, click Clear filter.
How to edit or delete a transaction you found?
After finding the transaction, open its menu to edit or delete it. If it is part of an installment plan or a recurrence, Finplan asks whether the change applies only to that entry or also to the next ones. The full step by step is in how to correct the account statement.
