Noticed a lock icon on an account or on a credit card in Finplan? That happens when you have more accounts or cards registered than your current plan allows.

What is the free plan limit?

On the free plan, Finplan allows 2 bank accounts and 1 credit card. On the paid plans, Core and Member, creating accounts and cards is unlimited.

Why does this happen?

If you already had more accounts or cards registered than this limit, or if your paid subscription has ended, the extra ones get blocked. The account (or card) that stays unblocked is always the oldest one, by registration date; the rest get the lock icon.

What changes on a blocked account or card?

A blocked account or card appears dimmed, with a lock icon, in Finplan's lists. While it is blocked, you cannot open its details, edit it, or record new transactions on it.

The data stays saved. Nothing is deleted.

How do I unlock my accounts and cards?

Subscribe to a paid plan in Finplan. As soon as the subscription is confirmed, the limit goes up and the accounts and cards become available again.
