How to use the command palette in Finplan?

Want to record an expense, create a goal or register a card without browsing the menus? Finplan has a command palette that gathers the main actions in one place.

In this article, we will explain how to open the palette and what you can do with it.

How to open the command palette?

Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + K on Windows or Cmd + K on Mac. You also find the quick actions button on the screen itself.

With the palette open, type in the "Search action..." field to find what you need faster.

Which actions appear on the Accounts tab?

• Add account: register a checking account, savings account or whatever you prefer, as in the step by step of how to create a bank account;
• Transfer between accounts: record a transfer or an international remittance;
• Expense: record spending in any currency;
• Income: record earnings in any currency;
• Manage categories: create and organize categories and subcategories;
• Create goal: set a financial objective, as in the article how to create a financial goal.

Which actions appear on the Cards tab?

• Add credit card: register a new card, as we explain in how to register a credit card;
• Card expense: record a purchase or expense on the card;
• Card refund: record the refund of a purchase;
• Pay bill: record the payment of the card bill.

Is there an AI tab?

Yes, the palette has an AI tab, but it is not available yet. Finplan warns: "Soon you will be able to record finances by chatting with AI."
